# Networks

Networks are the evolution dependance between technologies according to their level of maturity and applicability. Some types of systems and software, for instance, are applications of business models, which can further expand into novel technology types. Users can link parenting relationships between technologies, but this task is mainly performed by the Lead Editor in order to keep an editorial line of our database. You can check the example below:

{% hint style="info" %}
This will be an optional step. Users will be able to search Envisioning’s database for existing technologies or to create new ones at the spot.
