Selecting technologies from TDB (Technology Database)
Last updated
Envisioning has a database of more than a thousand of technologies called TDB, the exemplification of Technology Database. As many sectors are already covered and displayed in our database, every project is expected to start with an early and primary selection of technologies. Part of our research method focuses on updating and refining our current database, rather than adding new technologies that might be at some point redundant.
During this phase, technologies will be selected and approved by the Head of Research and/or partner involved in the project.
Researcher Task: Find Cards During this stage, you should find cards that fit into our project's brief while finding inconsistencies in our database (e.g. technologies that are too similar, too broad or too detailed to our current project).
In order to make this selection, researchers should go through past projects and refine their searches by using filters on TDB. All selected technologies should be included in the list "Drafts [Researchers]" of our project workflow on TDB.
How to add technologies into a project on TDB (Technology Database)
Research Meeting: After this first selection, researchers will be summoned to a meeting with the Head of Research and the Editor in Chief to have the technologies approved and discussed. The approved ones will be moved to the "Update/Create [Researchers]" list.
