Futurekit is a workshop of the future, designed for efficiency. It encourages new ways of thinking about the future that not only react to existing demands, but are active in transforming markets and mindsets.
A typical exercise takes place in 4hrs, in which participants develop creative solutions by simulating the use of emerging technologies to solve any possible problem.
Participants of a Futurekit workshop become familiar with dozens of emerging technologies, learn principles of technological change, and consolidate their knowledge in a practical way.
The amount of participants may vary regarding the needs of the workshop. We can either develop a one-day workshop structure to be held with 20 participants, or attending big conferences with more than hundred attendees.
The workshop theme can revolve around the future of multiple sectors, and Envisioning will make sure that it fits the needs of the participants.
Participants are guided through a series of game-like exercises, called canvases. Each canvas presents a different perspective on technology, which works as a playground for players to draw their own point of view regarding technological advancements.
The following template explains the directions taken through the workshop:
The Futurekit workshop is conducted by the CEO & Founder and the Head of Research.
Technology cards help navigate the scope of future potential, thus supporting the "players" to create scenarios where technology is the key factor for change. They amplify and transform our understanding of the world.
The cards are the core of the Futurekit. They are short versions of the technology entries we have at our Technology Database (TDB). All card contain a summary, an image to illustrate their application and sometimes, their corresponding TRL.

Description
1
Understanding the creative challenge
Participants are invited to understand the basis in which the workshop is organized. A deck of technology cards is given for all players to discuss the relevant role of each technology.
2
Decoding disruptive technologies
Participants are encouraged to understand the innovation potential, in terms of capacity for industry disruption, each technology holds.
3
Addressing user needs
Autonomously, participants are stimulated to explore how technologies can address solutions for current and future needs.
4
Creating Sci-Fi prototypes
At the final phase, participants are invited to assemble a trio of cards to build a possible prototype, taking into account all the previous phases. Here, all participants explain their decisions and present the prototypes as a solid model, thus describing their concepts and their potential.
